Hardwood versus 6mm softwood pellets :
woods such as maple, oak, birch and ash. And we all know to put softwoods like pine, spruce and spruce.
European consumption of wood pellets :
Most of the consumption was destined to the production of heat, representing 61.8{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313}. Consumption of heating pellets can be divided into three markets – residential heating (69{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313}), commercial heating (19{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313}) and heat generated from CHP (12{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313}). The remaining 38.2{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313} of wood pellets were used for energy production. It should be noted that the technologies to produce energy from pellets for heating, electricity or both are mature, offering efficient and reliable processes.
The benefits of 6mm wood pellets :
If you want to get a reliable source of heat, save money and help protect the environment, 6mm biomass wood pellets are a great choice. When pellets burn, they release the same amount of carbon dioxide that wood biomass absorbs during its growth, making them carbon neutral.
The excellent quality of the pellet is essential to obtain a constant and ideal heating process. As there are different grades of fuel, it is essential for stove and boiler owners to choose the right quality fuel that best suits their facility.
The use of pellets in heat production remained a strong sector in the EU. The use of pellets for electricity production.
From heating to horse bedding: Pellets A1 uses :
A small, compact product that faces some big challenges, our pellets are a true force of nature. About the height of a bottle cork, they are an energy-rich, low-ash, low-humidity, clean-burning heating source for wood pellet heaters and boilers in residential, commercial and large-scale industrial heating applications.
Our 6mm wood pellets are also a natural and comfortable choice for horse bedding. They are highly absorbent, dramatically reduce removal time, reduce bedding consumption, and are easy to store and transport.
Storage :
For better longevity, wood pellets should be stored indoors. Damp locations may require a dehumidifier. When properly stored, pellets can have a shelf life of more than two years, but ideally, they are used within a period of six months. At Europe Pellets, we are able to store pellets outside because of our high turnover rate, so no ton of pellets is out for more than a month or two.
Water will destroy wood pellets. Wood pellet bags are not waterproof. Each bag contains small holes for the hair to allow the pellets to breathe. Take special care to avoid water absorption.
A1 pellets supplied by pallet will be covered with a UV resistant bag/hood which is effective for up to 12 months. Do not remove bag/hood until pellets are used.
Acceptance of acceptance of raw material and storage:
The product is carried out on the territory of the factory.
The raw material acceptance site is made of concrete slabs.
A rail feeder arrives at the site that can be used for raw material delivery. Access routes for trucks are also available.
The raw material storage place consists of storage area and area of immediate supply of raw material to processing.
The unloading of the transport is carried out by a wooden loader on the base of the LIEBHERR A 924 В excavator.
Unloading is carried out in storage areas or directly to the wood supply work area for processing.
The acceptance of the quality and quantity of the wood is carried out in loco along with the radiological control.
Pellet fuels (or pellets) are biofuels made from compressed organic matter or biomass. Pellets can be made from any of five general categories of biomass: industrial waste and by-products, food waste, agricultural waste, energy crops and virgin wood.
Wood pellets are the most common type of fuel pellet and are usually made from compacted sawdust and related industrial waste from milling sawn wood, manufacturing wood products and furniture, and construction. Other sources of industrial waste include empty fruit clusters, palm kernel husks, coconut husks and treetops and branches discarded during extraction operations. So-called “black pellets” are made from biomass, refined to resemble coal, and were developed to be used in existing coal-fired power plants.
Pellets are categorized by their heating value, moisture and ash content, and dimensions. They can be used as fuels for power generation, commercial or residential heating and cooking. The pellets are extremely dense and can be produced with a low moisture content (below 10{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313}), which allows them to be burned with very high combustion efficiency.
All European heating equipment is supplied with data sheets indicating the biofuel parameters to achieve the highest efficiency and efficient operation possible. Often, there are cases where the cause of the failure of pellet boilers was the supplier of poor quality pellet fuel. That’s why consumers pay a lot of attention to the quality of wood pellets.
The company uses ecological raw materials for the production of pellets, supplied under contracts with Ukraine’s state forestry. This gives us the opportunity not only to guarantee the stability of quality indicators, but also to guarantee the stability of the volumes of products delivered. This type of cooperation predetermines the unconditional fulfillment of our obligations to counterparties.
Each batch of our wood pellets released corresponds to specially developed and approved technical conditions that make our pellets competitive in domestic and foreign markets. The ash content of our pellets is within 1{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313}, which makes it possible to use them for heating private homes.

Production Techniques:
The raw material enters the crusher, which is reduced to the flour state. The resulting mass is fed into the dryer from it – into a pellet press in which a compressed wood pellets of flour. Compression during pressing increases the temperature of the material, the lignin, contained in the wood particles, softens and sticks in a tight cylinder. To produce a ton of pellets, about 2.3-2.6 cubic meters of wood waste is needed, plus 0.6 cubic meters of sawdust are burned per ton of production.
The final pellets are cooled, packed in different packages – from small packages of 15 kg to big-bags (large industrial packages) of 1.1 ton – or delivered to the consumer in bulk.
A pellet stove is a stove that burns compressed wood or biomass pellets to create a source of heat for residential and sometimes industrial spaces. By constantly feeding fuel from a storage container (hopper) into a burning area, it produces a constant flame that requires little to no physical adjustment.
The efficiency of a pellet stove can reach 90{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313} or more. … This is more than a classic wood stove, with an efficiency of only 40 to 50{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313} (60 to 80{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313} for recent high-efficiency stoves) and much more than a fireplace, with an efficiency of 5 to 15{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313}.
Pellet stoves can only burn wood pellets (as Jodi mentioned) or biofuels like dry corn (depending on the actual model). It would be unwise to try to burn wood or kindling inside a pellet stove, because of how a pellet stove actually works.
