European consumption of wood pellets :
Most of the consumption went to the production of heat, which represents 61.8{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313}. The consumption of pellets for heat can be divided into three markets: residential heating (69{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313}), commercial heating (19{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313}) and heat generated from CHP (12{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313}). The remaining 38.2{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313} of wood pellets was used for energy production. It should be noted that the technologies to produce energy from pellets for heat, electricity or both, are mature and offer efficient and reliable processes. Wood pellets A1.
The benefits of 6mm wood pellets :
If you want a reliable source of heat, save money and help protect the environment, 6mm biomass wood pellets are a great choice. When the pellets burn, they release the same amount of carbon dioxide that wood biomass absorbs during growth, making them carbon neutral.
The excellent quality of the granules is essential to achieve a constant and optimal heating process. As there are different qualities of fuel, it is essential that stove and boiler owners choose the right quality fuel that best suits their installations. Wood pellets A1.
The use of pellets to produce heat remained a strong sector in the EU. The use of pellets for the production of electricity.
From heating to horse bedding – A1 wood pellets use :
A small, compact product that tackles some big challenges, our pellets are a true force of nature. About the height of a bottle cork, they are an energy-rich, low-ash, low-moisture, clean-burning heating source for wood pellet heaters and boilers in residential, commercial and large-scale industrial heating applications.
Our 6mm wood pellets are also a natural and comfortable option for equine bedding. They are highly absorbent, dramatically reduce cleaning time, reduce bedding consumption, and are easy to store and transport. Wood pellets A1.
6mm Wood Pellet Storage :
For best longevity, wood pellets should be stored indoors. Damp locations may require a dehumidifier. When properly stored, the granules can have a shelf life of more than two years, but are ideally used within six months. At Europe Pellets we are able to store pellets outside due to our high turnover rate, so there are no tons of pellets outside for more than a month or two. Wood pellets A1.
The water will destroy the wood grains. Wood pellet bags are not waterproof. Each bag contains small hair holes to allow the granules to breathe. Take special care to avoid water absorption. Wood pellets A1.
Pallet A1 wood pellets will come covered in a UV resistant bag/hood that is effective for up to 12 months. Do not remove bag/hood until granules are used. Wood pellets A1.
Acceptance acceptance and storage of raw material:
The product is made on the territory of the plant.
The raw material acceptance site is made of concrete slabs.
The rail feeder arrives at the site that can be used for the delivery of raw material. Truck access routes are also available.
The raw material storage site consists of a storage area and an immediate supply area for raw material for processing.
Transport unloading is carried out by the wooden loader on the basis of the LIEBHERR A 924 В excavator.
Unloading runs to storage areas or directly to the wood supply work area for processing.
The acceptance of the quality and quantity of the wood is carried out in situ together with the radiological control.
Pellet fuels (or pellets) are biofuels made from compressed organic matter or biomass. Pellets can be made from any of five general categories of biomass: industrial waste and co-products, food waste, agricultural residues, energy crops, and virgin wood.
Wood pellets are the most common type of pellet fuel and are typically made from compacted sawdust and related industrial waste from wood milling, wood product and furniture manufacturing, and construction. Other sources of industrial waste include empty fruit bunches, palm kernel shells, coconut husks, and tree canopies and branches discarded during logging operations. The so-called “black pellets” are made from biomass, refined to resemble coal, and were developed for use in existing coal-fired power plants.
Pellets are classified by their calorific value, moisture and ash content and dimensions. They can be used as fuels for power generation, commercial or residential heating, and cooking. The pellets are extremely dense and can be produced with a low moisture content (less than 10{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313}) which allows them to burn with very high combustion efficiency.
All European heating equipment is supplied with technical sheets indicating the parameters of the biofuel to achieve the highest possible efficiency and efficient operation. There are often cases when the cause of the failure of pellet boilers was the supplier of poor quality pellet fuel. That is why consumers pay a lot of attention to the quality of wood pellets.
The company applies to environmentally friendly raw materials for the production of pellets, supplied under contracts with the state forestry of Ukraine. This gives us the opportunity not only to guarantee the stability of quality indicators, but also to give guarantees of the stability of the volumes of products delivered. This type of cooperation predetermines the unconditional fulfillment of our obligations to counterparties.
Each released batch of our wood pellets corresponds to specially developed and approved technical conditions that make our pellets competitive in domestic and foreign markets. The ash content of our pellets is within 1{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313}, which allows their use for heating private houses.

Production techniques:
The raw material enters the crusher, which is reduced to the state of flour. The resulting mass is fed to the dryer from it, in a pellet press in which a compressed wood flour is granulated. Compression during pressing increases the temperature of the material, the lignin, contained in the wood particles, soften and stick together in a tight cylinder. To produce one ton of pellets, around 2.3 -2.6 cubic meters of residual wood are needed, plus 0.6 cubic meters of sawdust are burned per ton of production.
The final pellets are cooled, packed in different packages, from small packages of 15 kg to big-bags (large industrial packages) weighing 1.1 st ton, or delivered to the consumer in bulk.
A pellet stove is a stove that burns compressed wood or biomass pellets to create a heat source for residential and sometimes industrial spaces. By constantly feeding fuel from a storage container (hopper) to a burner area, it produces a constant flame that requires little or no physical adjustment.
The efficiency of a pellet stove can reach 90{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313} or more. … This is more than a classic wood stove, with an efficiency of only 40 to 50{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313} (60 to 80{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313} for recent high-efficiency stoves) and much more than an open fire, with an efficiency of 5 to 15{edcbbdcf24db3304935cd2d6add1942a294a9d3d13a9391959d737a967195313}.
Pellet stoves can only burn wood pellets (as Jodi mentioned) or biofuels like dried corn (depending on the actual model). It would not be wise to attempt to burn logs or sticks inside a pellet stove, due to how a pellet stove actually works.
